When we drank whether it be because we were happy or sad we always had an excuse to imbibe. But more often than not it was when nothing in particular of note was happening. We were taking in a breath one moment and the next we were reaching for our favorite drug alcohol.
The vagaries of life are often the impetus for us to pick up. We rely on the emotional highs and lows to justify why we drank but in reality we never needed a reason to drink we were compelled to because we felt a general dis-ease within ourselves and we thought that alcohol would ease the pain but instead we were confronted with the silence of the lambs and a killer of all dreams.

We rely on the emotional highs and lows to justify why we engaged but in reality we never needed a reason to indulge with the opposite sex - we were compelled to because we felt a general dis-ease within ourselves and we thought that this attention would ease the pain but instead we were confronted with the silence of the lambs and a killer of all dreams.
What the killer of all dreams is the repeat of yet another marriage or meaningful relationship ending.
Where does the cycle end? Can you merely have a couple of emails, texts or phone calls? or does 1 or 2 turn into a couple and the couple turns into multiple texts, multiple emails, eventually meeting, consumating once and then again and again and again. Where does your real relationship begin and end?? Why did you so need to indulge again, with yet another binge. Is there any difference if it's exercising, drugs, alcohol or women/sex??
The fact you know is that you were drunk with the first drink. In this case, it was that first, innocent exchange on a keyboard.
