I Get No Kick From Champagne

I never got a kick from champagne. The bubbles never tickled my nose either. I always thought it was an expensive drunk when a wine cooler would have done the same trick at a much cheaper price tag. Drinking high priced booze was for the earthlings because they could stop after two.  Two drinks is that magical place where the social drinkers usually draw the line and we take off on a journey that never seemed to have a beginning or an end.

Notice when we would talk about drinking we would say “a couple of drinks”. It was never two or even three because “a couple” hid the fact that we actually didn’t know how many we had but it covered us or so we thought that we were just taking our comfort amongst those that didn’t drink professionally.

Now that I have stopped I don’t have to count or figure when to start or when to stop. It’s pure bliss and even when my life is a living nightmare I always wake up with a clear head and know where I parked my car.
